Sydney Hassoun has a bilingual background (English/French) of integrated health sciences, business, marketing, and is a Certified Athletic Therapist that graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science; honours, in Kinesiology. During his time at York, Sydney worked with various types of athletes; both male and female, including varsity athletes and elite Canadian champions such as the Toronto Argonauts Football team. Sydney strongly believes that motivation and determination is key to rehabilitation. He’s currently the Supervising Head Athletic Therapist for the Toronto Aeros Women’s hockey team, an Advanced Standing Massage Therapy student at OCHT, as well as manages various marketing promotional events across Canada. These events, seminars and educational courses provided the regulated platform of techniques and skills to integrate physical therapy for all realms of patients. In addition, these skills will provide an evidence based approach of medicinal rehabilitation and education to ensure the greatest quality of life for these patients. Outside of work and academics, he enjoys reliving his glory days as an athlete by playing sports, hiking, camping and travelling; even if it’s just a quick visit home to Montreal.
